“What do they know that we do not know? And most importantly, how could we have lived without them for so long?”
Rolling Stone France
“That’s wonderful, ..I love that. It reminds me of a mixture of early Kinks, Squeeze and a bit of Blur mashed in. His voice is his own, …so great. I love it.” (Smiling Makes The Day Go Quicker) Dave Davies – The Kinks
“Like The Clash from New Orleans” – Nikolaj Torp Larsen – The Specials
“….a virtual carnival of sound that’s high on energy and deep on soul. With copious helpings of R&B, blues, funk, disco, Django, a dose of Dexy’s, a drop of Ray Davies and a pinch of Madness … – it’s an exciting mélange of sound.” – Simon Wells (The Guardian)

In 2000 the band performed a Live medley on national BBC1 with Atomic Kitten & Martine McCutcheon for Children in Need and the following year were booked as resident band on ITV's Langsford Late TV show - a series of eight chat shows with Ruth Langsford. In between, the band performed and recorded a promotional video for the BBC on the set of Noel Edmonds House Party at BBC Television Centre, London, and finished work on a number of projects including a recording of Midnight Hour with another American soulster Geno Washington.

Growing up in the small town of Lostwithiel, Cornwall, Rue made a name for herself by conquering the local gigging scene whilst simultaneously completing her degree in BA (Hons) Contemporary World Jazz. She has been making waves in music since her first EP release "Blinkers" in 2017, having pushed her sensational vocals, impressive fingerstyle guitar playing and beautifully nu-soul inspired songs all across the UK. Under her belt is an impressive number of major festival slots and stellar headline shows including Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Pizza Express Jazz Club in London, Mr Wolf’s in Bristol, The Great Escape Festival in Brighton and more. Rue brings a new and polished sound with her latest single 'Lucid', having developed through years of gigging both solo and with her band. Incorporating elements of jazz, rnb and nu-soul, Rue's guitar playing is influenced by likes of Tom Misch, Hiatus Kaiyote and Oscar Jerome. 'Lucid' received outstanding support from leading jazz station Jazz FM and was played across multiple shows. Rue’s ever-growing presence has gained her ongoing support from BBC Radio and other international radio stations. As a result, she’s made multiple live appearances on BBC Introducing & prime time BBC Spotlight TV. She has also supported major artists such as Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, Newton Faulkner and James Arthur. Rue is an unsigned, independent artist currently based in Plymouth, Devon and is working towards releasing her debut album. "Transfixed. Like a symbiosis with her voice and guitar, it’s irresistible when she begins." - Soul Stripped Sessions, London "One of our most exciting BBC Introducing artists. Rue is a treasure." - BBC Introducing in Devon & Cornwall
D.M. Street are an original ska band based in Cornwall, South West UK. The band was originally founded by ex Ska'd For Life member Andy Keys Clark. Andy is best known from his time in original UK ska band Ska'd For Life, writing the band's debut hit single "Street Life" which acheived city chart success in Belgium. Andy has released 5 solo albums on a smaller independent basis including "Ska Blood From A Heart Of Soul" & "The Prophecy". Andy then teamed up with guitarist and ex member of rock band A New Hope, Nathan Funnell, to start the original songwriting process, along with the band's first drummer Tony Wright from The Mighty Offbeats (who also produced the band's first original studio track "Lifeline"). Tony's time in the band was brief due to other band commitment. The next recruit was front man singer/guitarist and ex member of original indie/mod band Yellowstone, John Hutchens. John now also contributes writing new original songs. The band was next joined by trumpet player Tracey Underwood and saxophone player Marcus Alfred, both with a history of previous proffessional bands. The band next recruited their second bass player John Wright, who also has previous band history including indie outfit Boho Road. The final member to join is the band's third drummer Sammy Downing, previously the drummer of original indie rock band Grip Like Vice. This has completed the line up and saw D.M. Street play their first festival gig at Alstock Festival 2017 in Bodmin, Cornwall, and reuturned in 2019 to play the main stage. The band are currently playing a mix of both covers and originals, and are currently writing more new songs focusing on their original set with a debut album in mind. D.M. Street play 2Tone style ska & reggae put together with dynamic vocal harmonies. The band play both covers and original songs with a few surprises thrown in for good measure. D.M. Colour TV are a four-piece who met at college in Liskeard, Cornwall and decided to start a band rather than finish their A Levels. Influenced by their friends and surroundings – as well as a bubbling cauldron of icons (Stone Roses, Pink Floyd, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bloc Party and more…) – Colour TV illustrate vivid lyrics with spirited musical accuracy, striking an angular and frenetic onstage silhouette.
Their debut EP Is That You was recorded in 2021 at Momentum Studios and released on vinyl this year. (Available from retailers incl. HMV and Rough Trade). The record was engineered and mastered by Josiah Manning of blues rock outfit the Kris Barras Band, whose eclectic portfolio includes work by The Native and Plastic Tramps.
